HARES MARKET HIGHLIGHTS: On Tuesday, the Indian equity benchmarks Sensex and Nifty50 finished a volatile session flat. The stock market took mixed cues from global markets, where investors weighed the prospect of additional sharp increases in key interest rates against the expectation of strong earnings growth. Following US President Joe Biden's unexpected trip to Ukraine, they also closely monitored a significant speech by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Gains in oil & gas and finance equities restrained the negative on the Indian stock market, although losses in IT and financial shares weighed on both major indices.
