Indian eves could only score 167 for 8 in the allotted 20 overs while chasing the 173 run mark. The top scorer was captain Harmanpreet Kaur, who scored 52 runs in 34 balls. Australia chose to bat after winning the toss. Australia reached 172 with losing four wickets thanks to Beth Mooneyc's 54 and Skipper Meg Lanning's unbeaten 49.
